The Sun City Civic Association is creating our 2nd Annual Race for the Cure Team! We are the S.C.C.A. – So Cancer Can’t Attack! The cause to find a cure for cancer is one that is close to many of our hearts. Let’s come together as a community to celebrate our survivors and remember our loved ones at the 16th Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Event on October 19th at the Promenade Mall in Temecula.
Show your support by donating or joining our S.C.C.A. team. You can participate in the 5K Run, 1.5K Fun Walk, become a Proud in the Crowd Supporter, or a Sleep In for the Cure Participant. The S.C.C.A. team is a community team for all Menifee/Sun City Residents, Family, and Friends to participate in. Everyone is welcome to join! Paper Registration forms must be turned into the Sun City Civic Association Office by October 3rd at 12:00pm.

The Sun City Civic Association will be hosting our 2nd Annual Susan G. Komen Fundraising Event. The S.C.C.A– So Cancer Can’t Attack Team will be hosting a Fundraising Luncheon on Saturday, September 20th, 2014 from 11:00 a.m.—1:00 p.m. in North Town Hall. No Running Required!
The event will include a light lunch with a variety of sandwiches, salads and refreshments. There will also be a Breast Health Awareness Presentation provided by the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Entertainment, Bake Sale and Prizes. At the conclusion of the luncheon we will have a Special Drawing for our Fundraising Quilt and Gift Basket Prizes. Tickets to participate in the Special Drawing are $1.00 per ticket or 6 tickets for $5.00.
If you wish to donate Baked Goods to be used for this event, please individually wrap your baked good items and drop them off to the SCCA Office by Friday, September 19th at 12:00 p.m.
Please join us on Saturday, September 20th, to help raise funds for Breast Cancer Research. Event ticket sales begin on Monday, July 14th and will be available until Wednesday, September 10th for $12 per person. It will be an afternoon of celebration for our survivors and remembrance for our loved ones.
